PDM - Police re-qualify arson attack in Ostrava as attempted murder
The Czech police are investigating the arson attack on a Romany family in Ostrava's Bedriska neighbourhood as an attempted murder, police spokeswoman Sona Stetinska told CTK yesterday. The police re-qualified the act from endangering the safety of the public for which perpetrators would face from three to five years in prison, to an attempted murder for which they would face 15-20 years or an exceptionally high prison sentence, since one of the investigation versions is a racially motivated act, Stetinska said.
